Tapasya

Control over one’s physical body, speech, thoughts, and mind. It is a practical spiritual discipline that involves deep meditation, austerity/moderation, self-discipline, and efforts to reach Self-realization. The disciplined and concentrated practice of Yoga is a form of Tapasya. Tapasya may also be practiced through meditation and fasting.

Samadhi

Samadhi is a state of profound meditation, and total absorption. Samadhi is seeing the soul face to face, an absolute, indivisible state of existence, in which all differences between body, mind, and soul are dissolved. Samadhi is Yoga.

Samyama

Samyama means holding together, tying up, binding or integration. It’s the combined simultaneous practice of Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (union/Yoga).

Pranayama
